The STARS Program is a community-based alternative for developmentally delayed youth who are also experiencing mental health disorders. The Allied Therapist serves as a member of the clinical team under the direct supervision of the Clinician or Program Director. Conducts a leisure/recreation assessment within the first week of admission. Consults on the treatment plan and crisis plan. Conducts allied therapies based on the leisure/recreation assessment (can consist of music, art, movement, recreation, occupational, vocational, combination thereof). Peer Specialists will be required to demonstrate competency in providing peer-to-peer support prior to rendering services independently. The 988 Program provides 24/7 mobile community outreach services to adults in crisis, including mental health, substance use, and suicidal emergencies. Staff dispatch to crises in teams of two, with a Crisis Response Specialist and a Peer Support Specialist, to provide assessment, risk assessment, safety planning, linkage to services, and follow-up care.
