General Description

The Site Lead is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising all contract operations at Fairchild Air Force Base. This position provides leadership and serves as the primary on-site representative responsible for ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements, company policies, and Government regulations. The Site Supervisor fosters a culture of accountability, professionalism, quality, and continuous improvement while maintaining exceptional customer service throughout the life of the contract.

Duties

  • Supervise, mentor, and manage the daily activities, ensuring adequate staffing, productivity, and adherence to established schedules.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact with Government representatives, providing timely communication regarding contract performance, operational status, and mission requirements.
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee all site operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Local Operating Instructions (LOIs) to supplement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when site-specific processes or operational requirements are not adequately addressed.
  • Ensure personnel are trained and comply with all SOPs, LOIs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Control (QC) program to ensure quality service is maintained throughout the life of the task order.
  • Conduct and document routine quality control inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements, technical procedures, and performance standards.
  • Identify performance deficiencies, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and verify the effectiveness of corrective measures.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to the Government regarding operational performance, quality control activities, inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions
  • Monitor contract performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of inspections, audits, corrective actions, training, and quality assurance activities.
  • Coordinate with company leadership regarding staffing, scheduling, employee performance, resource requirements, and operational challenges.
  • Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements, Air Force installation policies, environmental regulations, and company safety programs.
  • Lead daily meetings, communicate priorities and expectations, and ensure effective coordination among employees, subcontractors, and Government personnel.
  • Respond to customer concerns in a timely and professional manner while maintaining positive working relationships with Government stakeholders.
  • Support contract transition activities, inspections, audits, and Government evaluations as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support successful contract execution.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5-10 years on-the-job experience in any electrical or avionics aircraft-related discipline, preferably KC-135.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, inspection processes, and corrective action management.
  • Experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures and local operating instructions.
  • Ability to interpret and comply with contract requirements, performance work statements (PWS), and Government regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with Government personnel and company leadership.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required Government security clearance and installation access.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport and any required visas or travel documentation for CONUS/OCONUS travel.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license when required by job assignment.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance
  • Must be able to work, day shift, night shift, weekends, holidays, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain base access, Common Access Card, and required Government system access.

  • May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
