GENERAL DESCRIPTION Electronic Components Technicians apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provide Avionics maintenance support for C-130 squadrons within Marine Air Group (MAG) 14.  Contract start date of October 1, 2018. DUTIES The Avionics Technician installs, inspects, tests, adjusts, or repairs avionics equipment, such as radar, communications, navigation, and missile control systems in assigned aircraft. Performs tasks independently with little or no supervision. Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers' oscilloscopes or voltmeters. Adjust, repair or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools or soldering irons. Set up, operate ground support, and test equipment to perform functional flight test of electrical and electronic systems.
