GENERAL DESCRIPTION Candidate will produce parts using standard machining processes. DUTIES Calculate dimensions and tolerances and have significant knowledge of mathematics and precision measurement instruments. Fabricate assemblies or subassemblies using machine tools such as saws, lathes, and milling machines. Makes setup decision relative to part, product and material being used. Measure and examine completed products to ensure they meet drawing and customer requirements. Make adjustments and setup changes of a minor nature on basic machine tools and equipment. Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials onto machines. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine performance. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Candidate will perform in-process, receiving, and final inspection of aerospace hardware utilizing basic inspection equipment and customer provided drawings and/or specifications. Duties Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards to determine product status. Use standard measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. Operate a coordinate measuring machining (CMM). Select the correct tool needed to do the job, regularly make decisions on tooling requirement for specific tasks. Assist and train Mechanical Inspector I. Complete non-conformance reports as required. Complete AS9102 FAI reports. Has good communication skills and communicates effectively with coworkers.
