Draw from research in the field and previous experience to independently design therapeutic musical tasks that meet a variety of needs, interests, and abilities. Facilitate music therapy groups using a variety of methods. Assess client needs and interests as well as musical and non-musical behaviors at outset of treatment and establish individual therapeutic goals. Plan, review, and assess therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness as well as aid planning for future sessions.
