Summary

Delta Star Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused LMS Administrator to manage the day-to-day administration, data integrity, and continuous improvement of the company’s Learning Management System (LMS). This role plays a vital part in supporting workforce development by ensuring employees receive accurate, timely, and role-based training while maintaining reliable training, qualification, and compliance records. The LMS Administrator partners with stakeholders across Human Resources, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Information Technology to deliver an effective learning experience that supports safety, quality, compliance, and operational readiness.

What You’ll Do

As the LMS Administrator, you will oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Delta Star’s learning management system. You’ll ensure training assignments, certifications, qualifications, and employee records are accurately maintained while supporting learners, instructors, managers, and site training teams. Your work will help strengthen training compliance, simplify reporting, and improve the overall effectiveness of workforce development programs.

A Day in the Life

Your day may include configuring learning assignments for new hires, troubleshooting a user access issue, auditing qualification records, generating training compliance reports, or collaborating with a site training leader to launch a new certification program. You’ll review training completion data, investigate discrepancies, support system users, and identify opportunities to improve processes and the learner experience. Through your efforts, employees and leaders will have confidence that training records are accurate, accessible, and audit-ready.

Specific Duties
  • Serve as the primary corporate administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Configure and maintain system settings, permissions, workflows, notifications, catalogs, and organizational structures.
  • Manage user accounts, audiences, enrollments, curricula, learning paths, certifications, and recurring training requirements.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Information Technology, Environmental Health & Safety, Quality, Operations, and site training teams to support business and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready training records, qualification histories, certifications, acknowledgments, and completion documentation.
  • Monitor mandatory training completion and overdue assignments.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and notifications to provide visibility into training compliance and workforce qualifications.
  • Conduct routine audits of training records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Document and track corrective actions related to training data accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide system support to learners, instructors, managers, and local LMS administrators.
  • Troubleshoot user access, enrollment, content, reporting, and system-related issues.
  • Develop administrative procedures, training materials, job aids, and documentation for LMS users and site training teams.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports related to compliance, qualifications, learning activity, and system utilization.
  • Protect sensitive employee and training information through adherence to cybersecurity, privacy, and records management requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve reporting, increase user adoption, and enhance the learning experience.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training administration and workforce development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Associate degree in Learning Technologies, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System in a corporate, industrial, healthcare, educational, or multi-site environment preferred.
  • Experience managing employee records, certifications, learning assignments, permissions, and compliance reporting preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, safety, quality, workforce qualification, or regulated training programs strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems and learning technologies preferred.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of LMS administration, system configuration, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, and related business applications.
  • Experience with reporting, analytics, dashboards, and data visualization tools preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and record-management capabilities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and standardized processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and user support abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across corporate and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong project coordination and time-management skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Understanding of compliance, training administration, and workforce development principles.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing user experience and operational effectiveness.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel required. Occasional travel may be necessary to support training initiatives, system implementations, site support activities, or company meetings.

We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. Compensation for this position will be determined within the posted salary range based on factors such as candidate qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, market competitiveness, skills, and certifications. For union-represented roles, pay is established by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
