The Charlottesville office of McGuireWoods seeks a Financial Regulatory Associate to join its Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Department.

This work includes advising clients in cutting-edge payments products, state and federal regulatory inquiries, rulemakings, money transmission, lobbying and legislative affairs, licensing, product counseling, intellectual property, and compliance obligations across domestic and international markets.

• Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of relevant experience to include:
  • Understanding of fintech clients, payment products
  • Representing clients in consumer protection matters including the FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, SCRA, MLA, TILA, EFTA, GLBA, and TCPA
• Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with client, business, and legal teams.
• Must have a strong academic record, excellent writing, and oral communication skills.
• Virginia Bar is required.
