The Terrestrial Coordinator develops, coordinates and advances conservation programs and implements terrestrial invasive species prevention and management programs. This position is funded through a five-year Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (PRISM) grant with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Terrestrial Restoration and Resiliency Coordinator plans and implements SLELO terrestrial invasive species management programs and projects. The Terrestrial Restoration and Resiliency Coordinator is a team member of the SLELO PRISM, a partnership program working to protect the Eastern Lake Ontario Region from the negative impacts on non-native invasive species. The Terrestrial Coordinator develops, manages and advances conservation programs, coordinates and implements terrestrial invasive species prevention, management and restoration programs and provides technical leadership and support. Duties may include: Conducting early detection searches for priority species within priority conservation areas. Engaging municipalities on community preparedness and street tree resiliency efforts as related to forest pests. The Manager will interpret guidelines and analyze factual information to achieve results, improve workflow, and solve problems. They will implement processes and participate in the enhancement of processes and tools used by the team. They will provide recommendations and training related to the functional activity they manage. The Manager has advanced knowledge of the systems utilized by the development team and apply knowledge to managing support and coordinating communications for the team. The Manager will coordinate with the Director of Philanthropy to prepare fundraising progress reports for critical audiences including Colorado State Director, Colorado Board of Trustees, Colorado Philanthropy Team and Colorado Leadership Team. The Manager will execute and/or oversee daily tasks such as campaign and fundraiser metric tracking, maintaining fundraising projections, using BBCRM, executing donor events and trips, scheduling team meetings and providing general support to team members.
