Legal Operations Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA (Primary) or Birmingham, AL

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - Onsite 4 days per week, remote 1 day per week

Reports to: Legal Operations Manager

About the Role

Join our collaborative and innovative legal operations team as a Legal Operations Analyst, where you'll drive efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in legal spend management across our operating companies.

In this hands-on role, you'll manage critical processes for matter administration, invoice compliance, and financial reporting, directly impacting our organization's operational integrity and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer matter management processes and rigorously review invoices to ensure full compliance with billing guidelines
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor timekeeper rates, maintaining precise and up-to-date records
  • Prepare accurate monthly accruals and create insightful reports on legal spend trends and forecasting
  • Oversee invoice batch processing and coordinate end-to-end payment workflows in collaboration with Accounts Payable and Oracle AP systems
  • Provide backup support for team members and assist as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Qualifications We're Looking For

Required:

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise legal matter management and e-billing systems (e.g., Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Passport, or similar)
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Knowledge of AP Oracle systems and invoice processing workflows
  • Previous experience in corporate legal departments or law firm billing/coordination
