CareFirst runs a year-roundinternship program. The ideal candidate is someone who can commit to work throughout the year part-time up to 15-20 hours in the Spring/Fall AND full-time 40 hours in the Summer.

PURPOSE:

This internship position resides within the Commercial Sales Business Unit at CareFirst where you will be an integral member of the team. This position will assist in bringing all CareFirst product lines together to drive our Whole Health and Wellness strategy and position in the market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This position may include the following duties:

• Understand wellness products in-depth.
• Analyze and gather competitive information for bringing key departmental projects and initiatives to completion and ready for market launch.
• Assist with development and fulfillment of marketing materials, product materials, and group materials.
• Create PowerPoint presentations.
• Support day-to-day operational process and identify streamline opportunities.
• Work under Wellbeing Consultants to learn and lead wellness strategies and go to market solutions.
• Represent CareFirst at client meetings and wellness events (as appropriate and available).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a student enrolled in an accredited College or University working towards a Graduate level degree.
• Target Majors: Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Promotion, Health Education, Project Management and/or Business-related studies.
• GPA: 3.25 or above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and the Internet.

Salary Range: $18,720 - $26,000

The hire range posted is an annual rate. All intern positions will be paid hourly.
