Our client in the satellite television service, live-streaming and on-demand programming space is looking for an Application Architect to join their team on a contract basis for 3 months, with the opportunity to extend, onsite in Denver, Colorado.
This critical role will be responsible for the strategic technical direction, architectural design, and standardization of robust and scalable integration solutions and APIs that power our Wireless businesses. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in modern integration patterns, API development best practices, and cloud-native architectures. You will play a key role in enabling seamless data flow, system interoperability, and the delivery of innovative and efficient products and services across our diverse business segments by providing architectural leadership and guidance.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and maintain wireless supply chain architecture and technical solutions.
-Lead the analysis and definition of data, workflow, environment, system, and software interfaces.
-Develop, review and approve detailed design documents and specifications.
-Represent supply chain in end-to-end value stream solutions and development of integrations.
-Establish and document development standards and best practices and provide technical mentorship to delivery teams.
--Build out secure integration architecture to interface with a diverse set of systems.
-Responsible for driving API CI/CD implementation using tools like GitLab, Jenkins processes.
-Responsible for defining the system landscape, identifying gaps between current systems and desired end-state; creating a roadmap to deliver end-state solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
-8+ years of professional experience as an Application Architect with deep understanding of API implementations
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
-3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
-Proficiency in Java and Python
-Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
-Ability to apply long term perspective and strategy to tactical situations
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and architectural decisions.
-Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse technical teams and stakeholders.
Desired Skills & Experience:
-Supply Chain domain experience
-Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and their application for automation within software development or data integration.
-Deep hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
