The Vaccine Coordinator ensures vaccine administration remains in compliance with federal and state regulations and oversees vaccine supply including but not limited to ordering, receiving, storing, monitoring temperature, and administration. The Vaccine Coordinator supports the vaccine program by assisting with development, planning, and implementation of Vaccine Education.
Essential Functions *
- Follows and implements the system wide program for the ongoing supervision and monitoring of vaccines.
- Ensures safety and integrity of vaccines by being on call during work and non-work hours.
- Communicates with clinical staff about upcoming immunization changes.
- Develops, plans, and implements all new required vaccine training to ALL MPHC staff.
- Educates, trains, and acts as a resource for all Medical Assistants (MA), MA Leads, providers, and other staff on injections, immunizations, and protocols.
- Administers employee vaccines.
- Ensures employee vaccine compliance, including providing remediation to employees.
- Travels to multiple locations during shift.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Position Qualifications*
Minimum Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA).
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of vaccine experience
- Pediatrics experience
- Ability to attain Arizona Immunization Pro-To-Date Training and Resources AIPO certification within the first two (2) weeks of hire.
