Position Summary

INTERNSHIP INFORMATION

  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Intern will engage in diverse projects using Excel models: benchmark MSP against other airports, collecting historical data for forecasting future airport business activity, assist with variance analysis, contribute to ongoing evolution of operational and financial reports, support cash flow and balance projections for airport planning and construction projects. This role offers an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world financial projects, providing valuable experience and insights into public finance.

Position Description

JOB DUTIES

  • Support Finance staff to develop and present financial forecasts, performance reports, and trend analysis for project and department managers using financial modeling tools.
  • Assist with the implementation of MAC's new Budget software system.
  • Support cash flow and balance projections for airport planning and construction projects.

Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate business or finance degree program.
  • Submit and unofficial academic transcript.
  • Intermediate Excel experience.


DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to prepare and present job-related technical information to various audiences.
  • Focus and interest in financial planning and analysis field.
  • GPA above 3.5.
