JOB DESCRIPTION
Apex's Solutions and Capabilities team is seeking a results-oriented Solution Leader who will sell, design, and oversee delivery of high-quality solutions and services to our clients in the Salesforce ecosystem. This position reports to the Global Capability Leader and works closely with other Solution Leaders, Go to Market Teams, Salesforce Alliance, Solution delivery and Practice consultant teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, propose, and scope services engagements, and ensure successful project execution.
As a Solutions Leader, you will provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise as well as oversight throughout the engagement delivery. You will also be part of nourishing and growing our Salesforce Solutions capability by building out offerings, developing content, exploring emerging use cases and technology products and contributing to the growth of the practice through coaching and mentoring others.
Solution Development & Sales Enablement:
- Collaborate with business leaders to create and execute a strategy for positioning Apex's Salesforce solution capabilities to win in the market
- Design and develop new services and offerings that align with market needs and Apex's Salesforce strategy
- In collaboration with leadership, partner with the marketing team to develop and maintain marketing materials, content, collateral and field sales enablement content and tools.
- Build out execution toolkits, templates, and methodologies to support the delivery of these services and offerings and create deliverable templates to facilitate repeatable project execution.
- Continuously stay on top of Salesforce trends and emerging insights to enable innovative solution development
- Represent Apex as a thought leader in functional and industry communities, events, published articles, and other channels, as well as develop strategy and core themes across such channels.
Solution Sales:
- Establish and maintain trusted and long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor and partner.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities and manage the sales cycle in partnership with the account team from qualifying to closing, then launching into execution.
- Act as key advisor in bid and proposal efforts: proposing solutions, engagement structure, pricing, staffing plans, and team design, and providing work effort estimation.
- Eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
- Develop and implement innovative and customized solutions that address the client's business challenges and objectives and deliver measurable value and outcomes.
Solution Delivery:
- Support implementation during the execution phase by providing leadership and high-level oversight of engagement teamwork product to ensure successful delivery of the overall technical solution for the client. May also perform hands-on delivery and development activities on select engagements as needed.
- Conduct enterprise level technical assessments for clients, recommending best-in-class technology solutions, industry trends, and best practices to modernize applications.
- Collaborate closely with consulting practice leadership to ensure Apex has the internal talent to drive successful engagements and collaborate closely with Engagement Management leadership to ensure assigned resources have the necessary skills.
- Support the establishment of internal Centers of Excellence or Communities of Practice to help build the consulting community and upskill where needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering roles including experience designing, developing, and delivering Salesforce solutions for clients. Salesforce architecture experience required.
- 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role in technology professional services or consulting; experience in the pre-sales, solution design and/or sales process highly preferred
- Experience as a Salesforce Technical or Delivery lead - understanding the lifecycle of cross cloud implementations and well-architected solutions on the Salesforce platform
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect credentials are preferred
- Strong experience leading ESB & ETL applications such as Mulesoft, Informatica
- Well versed in DevSecOps, specifically with Salesforce security model
- Strong knowledge of designing Architecture Diagrams an Data flows
- Relevant demonstrated thought leadership abilities: presentations, articles, lectures, blogs, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders and decision-makers, and an ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business.
- Proven leadership, management, and team-building skills, and the ability to mentor and coach others.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
