The Department of Computer Science is a mid-sized, cordial, collaborative, and innovative group of 8 full-time faculty members. The Department prepares students for exciting careers and graduate school through high quality instruction in small classes and close collaboration between faculty members and students on projects. The goal of the Department is to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science, one that also promotes critical thinking and lifetime learning.Essential Duties
The Department of Computer Science at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified and committed Part Time Faculty for Fall 2025, who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with undergraduates.Courses include one or more sections of freshman and sophomore level computer science: computer science I (python), computer science II (Java) and computer science III (data structures and algorithm with Java). Courses may additionally or alternatively include upper-level courses, particularly software engineering or cybersecurity, depending on the interests and background of the candidate.Members of underrepresented groups, minorities, women, veterans, persons with disabilities, and all persons committed to diversity and inclusive excellence are strongly encouraged to apply.Required Qualifications
MS in Computer Science or closely related field.Preferred Qualifications
