Release Planning CoordinatorLocation: San Antonio, TX (On-site)Pay: $47-50/hr W2 ONLYDuration: 8 Months Contract Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Release Coordinator to manage and oversee the release process for our technology teams. This role involves coordinating with Application Product Owners (APOs), managing release calls, ensuring compliance with release procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with release management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Release Planning & Coordination
- Conduct weekly meetings with APOs
- Identify items scheduled for release.
- Document release dates and times
- Validate that approvals have been received.
- Communicate release activities to stakeholders. Release Execution
- Identify and track all release items scheduled between Thursday and Saturday.
- Set up Zoom breakout rooms for each release item and team.
- Direct participants to the appropriate breakout rooms during the release call.
- Own and manage all activities during the release call. Post-Release Activities
- Complete and distribute post-release communications for all releases conducted.
- Collaborate with APOs to ensure accurate and timely follow-up. Data Accuracy & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all release Jira data complies with procedures.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and maintain documentation
Required Qualifications - Proven experience in release coordination or a similar role in a technology or software development environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Zoom (including breakout room management) and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with release management tools and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (Thursday-Saturday release windows).Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with tools such as Clarity, Jira, or other project tracking systems.
- Background/Experience in SAFe Agileo IT service management or software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience is a plus
