Illinois Action for Children Continues to Hire U.S. Veterans!

An action for children is always a noble act. In their Facebook post, the Illinois Action for Children Organization quoted the award-winning broadcast journalist and talk show host, Tamron Hall's line: “The reality is you don’t get to pick your parents and you don’t get to pick your ZIP code...and that ZIP code determines so much about your life.” Children do not deserve to be underprivileged just because of the location where they are born into. It is for this very noble reason that Illinois Action for Children (IAFC) makes an impact in the lives of children and families living in ZIP codes with the least number of resources in Cook County and beyond. IAFC gives them the chance to positively change the trajectory of their lives.

Illinois Action for Children has been a long-time partner of HireVeterans Job Board. We have been writing about them consistently throughout the years. IAFC is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer. "Strong Families, Powerful Community"

The above line is Illinois Action for Children's main approach to child development, preschool education and other family and community supports. It is with this commitment that IAFC remains a state and national leader in the early care and education community.

Illinois Action for Children is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to quality, accessible early learning and care opportunities for children. It was founded by Sylvia Cotton back in 1969. More than 50 years later, IAFC now has nearly 600 employees representing more than 20 programs and service across their four sites.

Illinois Action for Children's consistent outreach with low-income, hard-to-reach families, has led them to better understand and implement effective and innovative programs to ensure that early care and education, and other opportunities, are accessible to the children most in need.
