GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The team will augment services provided by Air Force military personnel to modify, maintain, inspect, control corrosion, overhaul, repair, regenerate and store various weapon systems, related components, missiles, engines, ground support equipment and vehicles. DUTIES: Plan, construct and repair specialized containers and material handling items using wood, wood substitute materials or materials required by technical data. Perform standard and specialized preservation and/or packing using various techniques to ensure safe and damage free movement of various aircraft components. Aircraft components include large and unbalanced equipment, sensitive electronics, delicate instruments, industrial components, radar antennas, turbines engines and hazardous materials.
