GENERAL DESCRIPTION Supervise and coordinate the activities of Quality Assurance and Maintenance Department Safety. Directly supervise Quality Inspectors and Supply Technicians-IMRL. Supervise and perform I-level quality assurance inspections on assigned aircraft/aeronautical equipment/SE. Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh nonagricultural raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. DUTIES Works from blue-prints, maintenance manuals, quality control procedures, quality instructions, Contractor standard specifications, naval inspection manual/cards and military technical directives.
