The Nature Conservancy What We Can Achieve Together: The Land Protection Specialist works with a wide range of colleagues on the implementation of strategic land protection projects that secure important habitat for plants and animals along with resilient and connected natural systems that facilitate climate adaptation for people and nature. The Specialist uses the full range of protection tools, including gift, easement, purchase, and cooperative projects with federal, state, and local government, conservation organizations, private landowners, Tribal governments, and other partners as appropriate. The Land Protection Specialist works with a team to support projects that advance TNC's conservation priorities by initiating and managing TNC-led transactions as well as working with land trusts, government agencies, Tribal Nations, and others in realizing land and water transactions and projects.
