The Peer Specialist provides supportive peer counseling and advocacy to adult consumers receiving services in the Screening Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP). Demonstrates knowledge of mental illness and the services available in the community. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the consumers served.
