The In Community Therapist will assess need for treatment, document and deliver clinical evidenced- based behavioral health services to youth and their families in a community-based setting. Design and provide clinical interventions, teach staff and actively participate on the treatment team to enable youth to reach their highest levels of independence in the community. Will perform all duties necessary to meet state approved objectives, including the requirement that the employee cooperate with the licensee and Department of Children and Families (DCF) staff in any inspection or investigation. Plans, organizes, and implements clinical social work/counseling services including psychotherapy to Consumers and families under the clinical supervision of a qualified supervisor. Expected to report for work in inclement weather. Additional tasks will be added at Director’s discretion. Legacy operates the State-designated Screening and Crisis Intervention Program for Burlington County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property. We make it our priority to screen and triage individuals in crisis within community settings as opposed to a hospital setting. Our certified screeners and mental health professionals work together to stabilize the crisis and determine the most appropriate, least restrictive treatment option.
