The STARS Program is a community-based alternative for developmentally delayed youth who are also experiencing mental health disorders. The Allied Therapist serves as a member of the clinical team under the direct supervision of the Clinician or Program Director. Conducts a leisure/recreation assessment within the first week of admission. Consults on the treatment plan and crisis plan. Conducts allied therapies based on the leisure/recreation assessment (can consist of music, art, movement, recreation, occupational, vocational, combination thereof). Conducts groups and individual therapy as needed. Implements and documents interventions identified in the treatment plan. Completes creative arts therapy assessment for each youth. Provides youth with therapeutic services such as recreation, art, music, drama, and/or any other creative art activity.
