General Description Tyonek is performing operations and sustainment support for the Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations office. Tyonek is seeking an Aerostat Operator Level I. The successful candidate will have experience supporting aerostat flight operations on platforms similar in size to the TARS aerostats. Duties Support aerostat pre-launch, launch, ascent, transition, station keeping, and recovery. Perform recurring equipment maintenance on aerostat and radar systems. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Read and understand schematics, technical drawings, and engineering data and reports. Calibrate equipment. Support the site operations in the areas such as security, landscaping and logistics. Performs a variety of administrative and technical operator functions. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Candidate works under journeyman supervision shall assist in disassembly, repair, rework and installation of various systems and components such as wings, control surfaces, control systems, landing gear, arresting gear, fuel cells, instrumentation, ejection seats, and engines DUTIES • Shall have entry level experience and be able to assist with installing hydraulic tubing, actuating cylinders, and cable controls • Candidate will assist in rigging, adjustment and tests on various flight systems including landing gear, flight controls, instruments, oxygen/ environmental systems and power plants • Entry level experience in the installation of fuel system components to include self-sealing fuel cells and assist with the preservation or de-preservation of aircraft or aircraft components • As directed, the candidate may be required to: Take hydraulic or fuel contamination samples, Perform corrosion control treatment, Chemical or mechanical...
