The duties of the Community Support Specialist include contributing to the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of consumers’ individual habilitation plans; therapeutic rehabilitative skill development; implementation of Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) principles and interventions; coordinating and managing services, both mental health and physical health; crisis intervention, as needed. The Paraprofessional will promote the achievement of students’ educational goals and behavioral objectives by providing the necessary support and professional interaction within the scope of all assigned duties. To assist the Principal, classroom Teacher or Social Worker in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment in order that students may effectively learn.
