The Paraprofessional will promote the achievement of students’ educational goals and behavioral objectives by providing the necessary support and professional interaction within the scope of all assigned duties. To assist the Principal, classroom Teacher or Social Worker in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment in order that students may effectively learn. Additional duties include: Maintain classroom attendance, class notes and daily point sheets along with performing other record-keeping functions designated by the classroom Teacher. Maintain structure and discipline in the alternative classroom setting. Assist with management and supervision of students in non-instructional settings. Utilize Agency learning center model of instruction under the guidance of the classroom Teacher to reinforce small group and individual academic activities with students.
