GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The team will augment services provided by Air Force military personnel to modify, maintain, inspect, control corrosion, overhaul, repair, regenerate and store various weapon systems, related components, missiles, engines, ground support equipment and vehicles. DUTIES: Perform chemical stripping of paints and primers to facilitate access for maintenance personnel to conduct depot-level modifications and repairs on a variety of aircraft, including F-16 aircraft, other routed items, and associated components. Perform comprehensive media blasting (utilizing various media), stripping, and cleaning of aircraft and aircraft components; prepare aircraft surfaces for painting; formulate coating materials; apply coatings to aircraft and aircraft components; and conduct corrosion and other relevant inspections.
