The Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing enrichment activities to youth in the after school program in an individual and group setting. Facilitates recreation and event activities. Provides transportation to youth and supervision in the office and in the community. Knowledge about community resources and services are required. Kairos House is a short-term residential program located in Burlington County that offers a safe, therapeutic option for those who are at risk of hospitalization due to exacerbation of their mental illness; or for those who need further stabilization and/or a transition period following an inpatient stay. Services include case management, treatment, housing assistance, wellness groups and life skills training. The Support Specialist provides mental health services to adults who have a chronic mental illness in a respite setting. Interviews clients, performs assessment and crisis interventions, creates individual crisis plans and provides case management by making linkage and referrals. Reaches out to post intervention clients to perform follow-up. Responds to crisis outreach immediately and is on-site of the crisis within one hour of receiving crisis outreach call.
