Provides supportive peer counseling and advocacy to adult consumers receiving services in the through this mobile crisis program. Demonstrates knowledge of mental illness and the services available in the community. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the consumers served. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the consumer’s status in order to identify each consumer’s needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the consumer group. Applicants must hold one of the following active certifications to be considered for this role: Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), or Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CRFS). Required to report to work in inclement weather. PT staff must work a minimum of four 4-hour shifts per month including 2 major holidays (New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) annually....

The Crisis Specialist interviews consumers, completes assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention. Outreaches as required. Answers a 24 hour hotline. Expected to report for work in inclement weather. Additional tasks will be added at Director’s discretion. Legacy operates the State-designated Screening and Crisis Intervention Program for Burlington County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property. We make it our priority to screen and triage individuals in crisis within community settings as opposed to a hospital setting. Our certified screeners and mental health professionals work together to stabilize the crisis and determine the most appropriate, least restrictive treatment option.
