The Therapist designs and supervises a safe environment and positive residential treatment program for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Establishes and maintains a positive, strengths-based, developmentally appropriate therapeutic milieu that is in keeping with the values and clinical treatment philosophy of the Agency. The Children's Intervention Specialist intervenes in crisis situations through mobile outreach response. Interviews clients, performs assessment and crisis interventions, creates individual crisis plans and provides case management by making linkage and referrals. Reaches out to post intervention clients to perform follow-up. Responds to crisis outreach immediately and is on-site of the crisis within one hour of receiving crisis outreach call.
