Services include case management, treatment, housing assistance, wellness groups and life skills training. The Support Specialist provides mental health services to adults who have a chronic mental illness in a respite setting. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the consumers served. Support services include helping clients 1) master an array of needed life skills, 2) to actively participate in community activities, 3) to provide alternative settings and means to explore clinical issues using direct care interventions based on treatment goals and objectives, and 4) conducting assessments including the Casey Life Skills Assessment.
