The CARE Navigator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Outpatient Division. The Care Navigator ensures efficient scheduling, accurate money handling, and effective communication across assigned sites and programs. This role serves as Safety Officer for the division and provides clerical and operational support to Access functions. The Support Specialist provides mental health services to adults who have a chronic mental illness in a respite setting. Peer Support Specialists will be expected to take the lead on engagement and may also conduct non-clinical assistance by providing support to consumers after the initial crisis has been resolved. Peer Specialists will be required to demonstrate competency in providing peer-to-peer support prior to rendering services independently. The 988 Program provides 24/7 mobile community outreach services to adults in crisis, including mental health, substance use, and suicidal emergencies. Staff dispatch to crises in teams of two, with a Crisis Response Specialist and a Peer Support Specialist, to provide assessment, risk assessment, safety planning, linkage to services, and follow-up care. The Program aims to provide crisis de-escalation without use of law enforcement unless necessary for consumer or team safety.
