The Allied Music Therapist will independently plan and facilitate music therapy groups, document client progress, and attend treatment team meetings. Draw from research in the field and previous experience to independently design therapeutic musical tasks that meet a variety of needs, interests, and abilities. Assess client needs and interests as well as musical and non-musical behaviors at outset of treatment and establish individual therapeutic goals. The In Community Therapist will assess need for treatment, document and deliver clinical evidenced- based behavioral health services to youth and their families in a community-based setting. Design and provide clinical interventions, teach staff and actively participate on the treatment team to enable youth to reach their highest levels of independence in the community. Will perform all duties necessary to meet state approved objectives, including the requirement that the employee cooperate with the licensee and Department of Children and Families (DCF) staff in any inspection or investigation.
