The Allied Music Therapist will independently plan and facilitate music therapy groups, document client progress, and attend treatment team meetings. Draw from research in the field and previous experience to independently design therapeutic musical tasks that meet a variety of needs, interests, and abilities. Assess client needs and interests as well as musical and non-musical behaviors at outset of treatment and establish individual therapeutic goals. The duties of the Community Support Specialist include contributing to the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of consumers’ individual habilitation plans; therapeutic rehabilitative skill development; implementation of Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) principles and interventions; coordinating and managing services, both mental health and physical health; crisis intervention, as needed. The Children's Intervention Specialist intervenes in crisis situations through mobile outreach response. Interviews clients, performs assessment and crisis interventions, creates individual crisis plans and provides case management by making linkage and referrals. Reaches out to post intervention clients to perform follow-up. Responds to crisis outreach immediately and is on-site of the crisis within one hour of receiving crisis outreach call. On-call as needed. Answers 24-hour hot-line, as scheduled. Works in a team approach.
