The Allied Therapist - Art provides weekly art group services and therapeutic support to consumers. Utilizes art therapy techniques and psychotherapeutic methods to support social skills, promote honest verbal and visual expression, encourage growth and catharsis through art process, build self-esteem and confidence, understand and identify emotions, and promote positive peer interactions and communication. Maintains coordination and collaboration with lead clinician and treatment teams. Maintains positive working relationships with consumers, direct care staff, and treatment team. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide support for consumers in coping with trauma, mental health, and behavior issues. Contributes to the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of Consumers’ individualized habilitation plans; therapeutic rehabilitative skill development; implementation of Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) principles and interventions; coordinating and managing services, both mental health and physical health; crisis intervention, as needed. Provision/coordination of services aimed at active rehabilitation and support services to achieve restoration of functioning and the achievement of community integration; maintaining own appointment schedule and meeting work productivity requirements. Other duties as assigned by management staff. Must be able to operate an Agency vehicle and maintain a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance provider.
