GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The team will augment services provided by Air Force military personnel to modify, maintain, inspect, control corrosion, overhaul, repair, regenerate and store various weapon systems, related components, missiles, engines, ground support equipment and vehicles. DUTIES: Remove, inspect, clean and install components and parts Repair, adjust, and install components and parts and to prepare serviceable aircraft parts for return into the SBSS supply system. Hoist aircraft and install shoring under airframes and/or components on multiple MDS's for short-and long-term storage requirements. Prepare aircraft for final demilitarization by identifying and removing known or suspected hazardous materials to include asbestos, various fluids, and sealed/unsealed radioactive components.
