Education & Training Coordinator

Job Description

Job Description

Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?

Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It Possible.

The Education and Training Coordinator serves as the operational backbone of the learning function within a bakery or food manufacturing facility. This role is purpose-built for individuals who have walked the production floor, understand the realities of shift-based operations, and are energized by developing people rather than simply processing paperwork. The ideal candidate brings firsthand manufacturing or food production experience, a strong instructional instinct, and the drive to build training capability across all levels of the organization.

How you will contribute

Training Delivery and Facilitation
  • Design, coordinate, and personally track onboarding and new hire orientation programs specific to the operations
  • Manage hands-on, floor-based training for production associates, equipment operators, line leads and supervisory staff
  • Adapt delivery methods to the learner population, including visual aids, demonstrations, and job aids for multi-lingual or low-literacy environments
  • Manage refresher and recertification training aligned to regulatory and customer audit cycles

Curriculum and Content Development
  • Work with SMEs to continuously update training materials, SOPs, work instructions and competency checklists grounded in actual operational practice
  • Develop and maintain a competency map for each role in the production environment from entry-level associates through line leadership

Compliance and Regulatory Training
  • Ensure training records are complete, current, and audit-ready for applicable regulatory bodies
  • Track certification expiration dates and proactively schedule required re-training before lapses occur
  • Support internal and third-party audits by providing training records, curriculum documentation, and on-site participation as needed

Capability Building and Workforce Development
  • Identify skill gaps through performance data, and supervisor input; translate findings into targeted development interventions
  • Implement structured on-the-job training (OJT) frameworks that enable supervisors to become effective daily coaches
  • Measure the effectiveness of training through knowledge assessments, observation checklists and post-training performance indicators

Training Administration and Systems Management
  • Generate regular training completion reports for operations, HR, and plant leadership
  • Coordinate training scheduling across multiple shifts to maximize participation without disrupting production targets
  • Manage training materials inventory including physical resources used in demonstrations, and digital content libraries

Culture and Engagement
  • Champion a continuous learning culture by making training visible, relevant, and respected on the production floor
  • Serve as a credible, approachable resource for associates and supervisors seeking performance support
  • Recognize and celebrate training milestones, skill certifications, and associate development achievements
  • Model professional conduct and safety-first behavior in all floor interactions

What you will bring

  • Bachelors degree with 2 to 4+ years of hands-on experience in a unionized training environment
  • Demonstrated track record of formally or informally training others in a production setting
  • Proven ability to deliver training to diverse adult learner populations including hourly associates, line operators, and frontline supervisors
  • Comfortable on the production floor and in the classroom; does not require a polished conference room setting to be effective
  • Skill in breaking down complex processes into clear, step-by-step instructional content
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and competency-based training approaches
  • Internally driven to improve performance outcomes, not simply meet compliance checkboxes
  • Proactively identifies training needs through observation, data, and relationship-building rather than waiting for formal requests
  • Takes initiative to build systems and infrastructure where none exist, including from scratch
  • Comfortable working across functional boundaries to get the right people into the right development experiences
