Summary:
This role is responsible in providing day-to-day engineering support for the business unit by creating, maintaing, troubleshooting and improving process and product improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Provide technical assistance to business unitwhen technical and/or quality problems arise in production/experimental runs.
- Manages assigned process/manufacturing optimization projects of minor to moderate size bycreatingnecessary documentation, writingup results and makingrecommendations.
- Support the monitoring and maintenance ofequipment and processes to ensure uptime and safe use for manufacturing.
- Train, mentor and coach team members as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diplomaor equivalent.May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
- 4+ years of engineering or technical experience
- Experience in continuous improvement, problem solving experience, and/orexperience with Six Sigma and Lean tools
- Hands-on material testing experience
