We're looking for a full-time, direct-hire Design Manager to report to the Associate Creative Director and lead a team of five designers. In this role, you'll oversee the full design process, from concepts and mockups to production, during an exciting time for the company.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, brings strong packaging expertise, and ensures projects move seamlessly from concept to completion.Location: Onsite in Van Nuys, 5 days/week (with potential for 1 remote day in the future).What You'll Do:
  • Creative Project Management: Manage all incoming and outgoing packaging design projects using Monday.com or similar tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production and leadership for smooth handoffs and ensuring all projects are aligned with brand's standards.
  • Hands-On Design: Jump in to create renders and mockups when needed.
  • Innovation: Explore AI tools (e.g., Blender) and new technologies to optimize workflows as well as managing the workflow of the creative team.
  • Digital Support: Occasionally assist with social and web design for integrated campaigns.
  • Leadership Coverage: Step in during a 3-4 month maternity leave to ensure continuity.
What You'll Bring:
  • 7+ years of design experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong packaging and print design expertise; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with project management tools (Monday.com preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with AI design tools or 3D rendering software.
