Assembler

Our aerospace manufacturing client is seeking Assemblers to join a critical team in Ladson, SC on a Variable Shift.

Key Responsibilities

As a team member, you will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to:

• Locating parts and assemblies
• Gap verification & shimming
• Manual and automated drilling
• Sealant application
• Installation of fasteners, rivets, and blind bolts
• Training, process improvement, and Lean/BPS activities

Position Responsibilities

• Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, equipment, and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
• Model a culture of One Team, Pride, and Ownership.
• Partner with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to mitigate performance risk using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies.
• Identify roadblocks and production constraints, escalating issues that cannot be resolved by the team through open and clear communication.
• Apply KPI and BPS principles to improve production flow and work environment.
• Support overtime as required to meet customer commitments.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities.
• Support teammates by providing crosstraining and mentoring to improve overall team performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
• 1+ year of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, and/or fabrication
• 1+ year of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English
• 1+ year of experience using software applications such as internet browsers, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer tools

Shift Information

This role is designated as Variable Shift. Assignment will be determined at the time of hire based on business needs, and the shift will remain in place until reevaluated.
