Our client is looking for a Creative Director to join their team.
***Soccer industry experience is required for this role. They want someone who has worked directly with a major soccer organization***
You must have ambition to help shape soccer's place in culture at a pivotal moment, leading up to the 2026 World Cup
This is a hybrid role, onsite in NYC on Wednesdays.
Responsibilities:
-Help shape our clients voice, vision, and creative output
-Move seamlessly between commercial briefs, original content, and cultural projects.
-Help redefine how brands, fans, and culture connect through soccer in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
-Lead big, integrated creative ideas across branded campaigns, original formats, editorial projects, and cultural moments.
- Blend strategy, creativity, storytelling, and execution to make work that resonates with fans and partners.
-Elevate and evolve our clients creative standards, ensuring everything we make is distinctive, relevant, and culture-defining.
- Build strong client partnerships while also championing our own editorial and original IP.
-Inspire and mentor teams across disciplines, from writers and editors to producers and designers.
-Own the development of integrated ideas across branded campaigns, original shows, cultural activations, and editorial projects.
-Push creative boundaries while ensuring work is strategically sharp and culturally resonant.
- Set a high bar for creative excellence, guiding teams from concept through delivery.
- Lead creative across brand partnerships, shaping strategies and ideas that connect brands authentically to soccer culture.
- Partner with editorial and production teams to co-develop original IP and formats that grow our clients audience
-Oversee concepting, scripting, design direction, and storytelling frameworks across multiple platforms.
- Stay ahead of cultural and audience trends in soccer, media, and youth culture; build initiatives that elevate underrepresented voices and communities within soccer.
-Ensure all creative output reflects the diverse, global, and inclusive nature of the game.
- Identify opportunities to expand partnerships through creative thinking and execution.
- Represent our clients creative point of view in pitches, presentations, and industry forums.
- Mentor and inspire creative talent across the business, ensuring career growth and high performance.
- Foster collaboration between creative, editorial, production, and commercial teams.
-Champion processes and workflows that enable world-class creative work at scale.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of creative leadership in media, entertainment, culture, or brand environments.
-Strong portfolio spanning campaigns, original content, and culturally relevant projects.
-Experience delivering top-notch campaigns
-Proven ability to deliver integrated ideas across film, digital, social, experiential, and editorial.
-Deep knowledge of North American soccer culture and its intersections with youth, fashion, music, and global communities.
-Strong leadership skills: able to set vision, mentor teams, and inspire clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to sell bold ideas internally and externally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Eager to experiment, build new formats, and drive cultural impact.
