As a Benefits Administrator you'll play an important part in helping ensure Wespath benefit plan participants, or their beneficiaries, receive the help they need during a difficult time in their lives. You'll work with your other members of the Survivor and Disability Benefits team, as well as other employees in our Customer Service department or in other areas of Wespath to ensure these customers receive their benefits from our self-insured benefit plans when they need them most.

  • Empathy to conversations with benefit recipients
  • Comfort with processes that may be automated or manual in nature
  • Detail orientation; and
  • The ability to help provide team coverage between 8 am and 6 pm CST Monday-Friday

Benefit Administrator Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $74,000 - $80,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be set based on the hired applicant's qualifications (education, training, and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown. Benefits include:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Has a passion for serving customers.
  • Professional writing skills. Is able to prepare a business letter or email with appropriate punctuation and clarity.
  • Able to perform basic math functions for calculation of premiums, billing reconciliation, audits and resolution of contributions/distributions.
  • Ability to understand and interpret multiple plans documents, policies, procedures, legal requirements, and retirement plan concepts.

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study (ex: math, business, human resources)
  • Benefit administration experience specifically with defined benefit, defined contribution or health benefits.
