~~Services Field Technician

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. (LEA), an employee-owned, full-service multi-disciplinary engineering and construction firm located in Plainville, CT. has an immediate opening for a Field Technician in our Industrial Solutions Division. 

This position entails primarily field work with key responsibilities including: preventative maintenance, operating and troubleshooting environmental treatment systems and other mechanical equipment used to pump, filter and treat soil, water and air.  These systems include carbon filters, shallow tray air strippers, air filters, air diaphragm pumps, centrifugal pumps, chemical metering pumps, etc. In addition, the candidate will be expected to perform various environmental sampling activities including; soil and groundwater sampling; soil vapor sampling and data collection.

Requirements: An Associates degree in environmental science, geology, science, engineering or related fields with several years related experience is a strong preference, as is the candidate with health and safety training (40-hour Hazwopper training, Confined Space Entry training). In addition, entry level candidates possessing an appropriate background (self-motivated, mechanically inclined, previous experience with pump stations, wastewater and groundwater treatment systems, remediation, construction or other outdoor environmental fieldwork) and eager to take advantage of an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the environmental field with one of the most highly regarded firms in the industry.
