This is a one-of-a-kind and unique time to join the Award Winning franchise, Camp Run-A-Mutt now open in Sorrento Valley!!
Join us as we grow our awesome dog-loving team and gain experience building a business from the start! We're looking for people who are dog passionate, hard working, VERY detail-oriented but also creative and open-minded as we will experience some growing pains! While playing and cuddling with the dogs is part of the job, there is also a lot of hard work that goes into making this environment safe and fun.
*Must be available to start Immediately the week of June 1st.
*Experience working with multiple dogs at one time is a MUST
*Must be open to working both with the dogs as a yard attendant and at the front desk (customer service.)
*Must have an open and flexible schedule to do a number of shifts (AM/PM/Late night)
*Part Time Position with Opportunity for Full time
Minimum requirements:
*Experience working with multiple dogs at one time is a MUST
*Ability to positively interact with all sizes and breeds of dogs (Camp Run-A-Mutt does NOT breed discriminate)
*Ability to stand, walk, bend and crouch for extended periods of time
*Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
*Reliable means of transportation
*Reliable means of communication, such as a cell phone
*18 years of age or older
* Open availability -- we are staffed 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
Front Desk Expectations:
*Greet customers and their dogs upon arrival
* Give tours to potential customers
*Answer and properly address caller's needs
*Take reservations for boarding and grooming appointments
• Communicate with vets to keep vaccination records up to date
*Temperament test new dogs
* Maintain our records so that all vaccination, credit card, dog and customers information is current and accurate
*Communicate with owners regarding health and behavioral issues
*Keep the lobby and front desk clean, organized and free of clutter
*Assist groomer with baths, nails, etc., if needed
* Keep bathrooms clean and properly stocked
*Assist during emergencies (dog fights) to keep dogs safe
*Responsible for credit card and cash transactions
*Dispense medications for dogs when needed
* Know and enforce all Camp rules to customers
*Fill out Report Cards for Daycare and Boarding
AND
Yard Attendant Expectations:
*Maintain a strict observation of the dogs at all times while in the yard
*Correct unwanted behavior by voice commands, and pack-leader presence
*Employees agree to communicate with coworkers as a team while in the yard
*Maintain cleaning duties such as laundry, mopping, washing dog bowls, and sanitizing all dog-play areas
*Maintain a sanitary yard by immediately picking up all waste and spot cleaning
*Learn all dogs names
*Treat all dogs equally and like your own
*Communicate with the Yard Manager and Front Desk Manager
*No texting or cell phone use in the yard
*Assist in dog feedings for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner
* Assist in administering medications for dogs
