The sole member-owner of the company is named Ryan Jones. He is a hard working man in his late twenties, and he has been in the lawn care and landscaping industry for more than twelve years either as an apprentice or as an owner.
My name is Kurtis Baker, and I am the general manager of the company. I am a graduate of the Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University with a B.A. in Business Development. Before I went to college I served 4 years in THE United States Marine Corps. Rah!
Status Quo & Culture
Ryan Jones is my brother-in-law, and we are motivated to take this lawn care and landscaping company to the next level. We do not embody the qualities of authortarian leaders, and we respect our employees greatly because we know that without them there would be no us. As a Marine I focus on 'troop' welfare; from keeping my guys hydrated to providing them with the best equipment. But we require motivated professionals to fill our ranks.
Operations
Our company currently maintains over 50 residential properties, contracts jobs through two local home building companies, and we also provide general skid steer services such as grading, dirt removal, trenching, etc.
What's Coming in 2016
Out with the old, and in with the new. In 2016 we will start the year fresh with newer, better equipped trucks in our motor pool. We will also own newer zero-turn mowers in addition to a multi-purpose grasshopper front end mower with attachments. Through communication and camaraderie, Major League's management will lead this company in the direction it needs to go in order to take off like a gazelle. The only resource our company lacks are more veterans like me.
