Assists the Production Manager with the supervision/coordination and completion of the production activities. Responsible for safety compliance as well as monitoring installer productivity and quality.
Essential Job Functions
Ø Ensures that production schedules, work orders, and assignments are met according to guidelines/timelines.
Ø Verifies material and resource availability prior to work order dispatch.
Ø Assists Production Manager in creating and modifying work order schedules for a group or department based on completion/ non-completion of other work priorities and availability of materials.
Ø Responsible for interpreting specifications, job orders and company policies and procedures to employees.
Ø Report job and schedule status to manager as appropriate.
Ø Performs Job Site Inspections (JSI’s).
Ø Oversees quality of work performed and reports any discrepancies to the quality assurance representatives.
Ø Examines and inspects work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met
Ø Assists Production Manager with weekly safety meetings with work crews and creates a culture for working safely.
Ø Assists in providing On Job Training (OJT) through self or others, to workers to ensure work is being performed in accordance with company specifications and procedures. Checks to verify installers utilize equipment safely and efficiently
Ø Provides oversight and accountability for accurate material usage and time records of assigned workers in computer database system.
Ø Generates and reviews production related reports as necessary.
Ø Responsible for maintaining and supporting positive employee relations including responding promptly to employee concerns, application of proper progressive discipline practices and compliance with employment law
Education/Experience
Ø High school education or equivalent plus three years or more experience.
Ø Prior Installation, Service Center, or Distribution center experience a plus.
Ø Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
