~~Fast paced, Business Litigation and Intellectual Property Firm, with offices in Houston and San Antonio, seeking attorney with 3-6 years of experience in commercial litigation.  Must be licensed in Texas.  Spanish speakers a plus, but not a requirement.  Experience with trials, depositions, mediations, writing and arguing summary judgment motions and responses, discovery requests and responses, and preparing and filing all trial related pleadings in State and Federal Courts is mandatory. Candidates must be energetic, professional, organized, and independent.  Previous employment references, writing samples and law school transcripts will be required when conditional offer of employment is extended.  We offer a competitive salary based on experience, with benefits.
We are looking for individuals with the following skill set:
• J.A.G., courtroom, or otherwise, experienced;
• Exceptional research and writing ability, able to research complex commercial, intellectual property and business law matters;
• The ability to review, organize and summarize voluminous documents to marshal evidence for hearings and trials;
• Comfortable researching on LexisNexis and Westlaw;
• Experience in deposing key witnesses in commercial and corporate cases;
• Familiar with preparing trial strategy memos for litigation cases to which they are assigned;
• Comfortable creating dynamic Power Point Presentations for mediation and trial; and
• Fully prepared, relaxed and focused when arguing motions to state and Federal Courts.
Personality Factors:
• A positive attitude and curiosity about the law is a must;
• If you cannot work in a high pressure environment, this is not the place for you;
• A willingness to put in long hours, when required, is essential to working in our office;
• You should be able to work independently, and meet deadlines with minimum oversight;
• Although not required, we would like someone with enough flexibility to travel to our San Antonio office for one or two week stints every calendar quarter.  The position will, however, be based in Houston.
