Technician- Environmental Services

Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC (HCR) is a full service environmental firm that provides consulting; construction project support; remediation; system design and installation; operations, maintenance and monitoring; industrial hygiene; and sludge dewatering services.

Description

•The Technician assists with general dewatering support, including operating the filter press and related equipment-air compressor, pumping equipment and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

•Perform project tasks including lifting, filter press drops and other material handling tasks.
•Operate a fork lift.
•Operate the JWI Filter Press.
•Minimize equipment downtime; eliminate spills.
•Keep job sites neat, clean and free of debris.
•Work job sites as assigned by Supervisor; work effectively individually and within a team environment.
•Adhere to and promote all health and safety policies, including all LPS safety protocol.
•Interface with customers periodically.
•Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications / Experience

•3+ months related experience and/or training.
•Ability and willingness to work all shifts, including extended hours, 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, and holidays.
•Ability to travel on a daily basis and for extended periods as required.
•TWIC Card.
•40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
•Current and clean Driver’s License.

Education

•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
