AMS is a “specialty maintenance products” company located on the Gulf Coast or Texas.  In particular, their product line is composed of unique products that are designed to extend the life of metals and machinery commonly found in the industrial maintenance arena.   By manufacturing/private labeling product lines such as high performance welding alloys, metalizing (thermal spray) equipment and consumables, high tech polymers and epoxies, and a variety of chemical compounds, they are able to compete effectively with larger industrial and welding supply, maintenance, repair and overhaul suppliers, while maintaining substantially higher profit margins than the market norm. 

AMS purposefully incorporates new and unique technologies and services into its product offering to maintain its reputation as a “specialty” vendor.  Offerings, Such as in-house cryogenic treatment of cutting tools, repair shop, and in-house training facilities will certainly ensure continued growth at AMS.

Main Product Lines

The Metalink Wear Technologies product line (see www.Metalinkwear.com) enjoys a particularly large market share in its niche as a supplier of thermal spray products to almost every major steel rolling mill in the US and Canada and is beginning to expand that offering to South America and Southern Asia.  On the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast, it positioned as the premier supplier of thermal sprayed aluminum coatings and is a preferred supplier of this technology to Shell Oil and Mobil/Exxon and their contractors.

The Lonestar Chemicals division markets a unique line of maintenance chemicals in a dispensing system designed to eliminate hazardous waste in the form of aerosol cans from industrial plant sites (see lonestarchemicals.com).  This unique system has allowed AMS to become the preferred chemical supplier to many petrochemical and paper mill facilities within 100 miles of its facility, and provided significant growth opportunities.  No other maintenance chemical company offers this service at present.
