Yesterday
It all began in 1981 with two friends and neighbors, a dream and a desire to build their own business. Vesta’s own fearless leaders Arthur Greenblatt and Steve Erie set out on a journey that planted a seed for an entrepreneurial spirit to grow. They focused mainly on debt deals, until 1986 when the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program was enacted…changing everything. Like every journey, there were obstacles; the market crashed, lenders requested payment, projects took longer than planned; but the leadership at Vesta made the right business decisions at the right times and pushed onward gaining speed. In the 1990’s Vesta, named after the Roman Goddess of hearth, home, and family, was born!
 
Today
Today the entrepreneurial spirit has continued to grow within Vesta. With each new acquisition we continue to improve the communities we care for through the use of cutting edge technologies and the efforts of the diverse expertise of our dedicated and talented team.  We are currently headquartered in Weatogue, CT and have communities in multiple cities through-out Connecticut, D.C, Indiana, New Jersey, and Ohio.  We currently stand strong, providing 4400 affordable homes within our portfolio.
 
Tomorrow
The Vesta Vision is clear; Our goal is to provide 8000 homes and become a Top 30 affordable housing owner by year end 2016.
